Why Suicide First Aid Training Matters
Suicide is a complex and sensitive issue that can affect anyone, regardless of age, gender, or background. In today’s fast-paced and stressful work environments, employers and employees must be equipped with the knowledge and skills to recognise warning signs and intervene effectively.
Suicide first aid courses provide participants with the tools they need to respond confidently and compassionately to someone experiencing a mental health crisis. From recognising the signs of suicidal ideation to initiating appropriate support and connecting individuals with professional help, these courses can save lives.
We have two courses to choose from:
Suicide First Aid
A full day suicide prevention training programme. This course is accredited by City & Guilds and can be delivered in person or online and has an upper limit of 16 learners.
After completing this course, learners are provided with the option to register for a City & Guilds accredited unit of learning written assignment. This assignment expects learners to use both the knowledge they have gained from their SFA course, and independent study.
Upon completion of this assignment, learners will receive an e-certificate from City & Guilds worth 6 NQF Credits at Level 4.
Suicide First Aid Lite
Suicide First Aid Lite (SFA Lite) is our half-day suicide prevention training programme. This course is assured by City & Guilds and can be delivered in person or online and has an upper limit of 20 learners.
