A 1-2-1 early intervention service for adults with emerging mental health needs. Over several sessions with one of our advisors, we will offer non-clinical advice, allowing you a safe space to recognize and understand your emotions. We will explore a range of tools and techniques that are designed to improve your wellbeing.
Our aim is to provide you with a toolkit and wellbeing plan that works for you, and we’ll support with any additional signposting or onward referrals you may need.
How does it work?
We have a person-centred approach and will work with you to identify your key goals, and work through a range of tools and techniques, finding ones that work for you. This support will be provided via telephone or in person*, for up to 6 sessions, that are spread out to suit your needs. *We have limited in person sessions available at Ibstock Surgery only.
How will it help me?
You will be able to discuss your symptoms and issues, recognize and understand your emotions. Your advisor will empower you to try a range of tools and techniques to increase your sense of control over your mental wellbeing.

- Low self-esteem/confidence
- Stress/overwhelm
- Sleeping Issues
- Managing Anger
- Menopause
- Coping with loss
- Advice on improving routines/habits
What we do:
- Provide a safe space for you to share & listen
- Identify your interests, strengths, goals and ways to achieve them
- Provide information on mental health conditions (resources)
- Resources – exercises to try
- Empower/support you to explore new tools and techniques
- Signpost/connect to local services
Who is it for?
Adults (18+) who are registered with a GP practice in North-West Leicestershire with emerging, non-complex, mild to moderate mental health needs.

Please Note: This is a service for people experiencing mild to moderate mental health problems, not a crisis mental health service. It also does not replace support provided by GPs or CPNs, or A&E.
A mental health crisis can be a medical emergency – Please seek help from the appropriate place if you are feeling intense emotions and you will be supported through your difficult feelings. Here are some places that you can receive support:
