Join us in shaping mental health support in schools, colleges and universities!
“1 in 8, 8-16-year-olds had a probable mental health disorder in 2017. This rose to 1 in 5 in 2023.”
The statistics around children and young people’s mental health are becoming an increasing worry and with the reduction of funding, reports of services becoming overwhelmed with referrals, and ever-growing waiting lists for support, the time to act is now!
At Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland Mind we know that prevention is better than the cure, but we also know that delivering services without the input of those directly affected is not the answer.
We’re organising focus groups to gather valuable insights from both students and staff about their experiences and needs regarding mental health support. Your participation would provide a unique opportunity to influence future mental health strategies and resources tailored to schools.
Why Host a Focus Group?
- Empower Voices: Ensure that the thoughts and feelings of your community are heard.
- Drive Change: Help us understand the real issues facing students and staff today.
- Collaborate for Solutions: Work together with other schools and mental health professionals to develop effective strategies.
How do we get involved?
We’d love to discuss how your school, college or university can take part in these focus groups. To schedule a brief conversation:
